Once you have published your Survey, and shared it with your friends and followers, you can watch your responses come in!

Reports

The Reports section allows you to view an hourly breakdown of the activity of the Survey, to see when survey responses came in.
Below this is a breakdown for certain types of question where you can download question graphs. There is also a download section, where you can download the entire dataset in .csv format.

When someone completes your survey, their response will be available to you a short time later (typically up to 5 minutes).

Download/Export Data

  • Click on the red download button to create the download file.

  • The survey data will be produced and provided as a Zipped CSV file.

Data can now be extracted in two ways, depending on whether you are accessing the system via the website in a browser, or via the app on a tablet/phone. We would recommend that for ease of use a PC/Mac and via our website is the best approach be used, especially for larger extract files.

Viewing Data Via Website (ie via app.zyncfreesurveys.com)

  • A file download location box will appear.
  • Choose a location to download the file then unzip the file using a suitable app (eg 7zip, or built in apps if using windows/mac).
  • Then open the file with Excel or any other appropriate application

Via App on Device (ie Phone/Tablet)

  • A share with box will appear as shown below (if using iOS/Amazon will show slightly different options, also depends what apps you have installed).
  • Choose the most suitable method to save the zipped file.
    • The recommended method is selecting a email client (in this case gmail), the zipped data file can then be sent as an attachment on to a PC/Mac user to unzip and analyse.
    • It is possible to unzip and view the data on the device however you will require a file manager app (like the free File Manager+ app for android as shown in the images below).
      • for iOS, use an unzipping application such as the free iZip app, in place of File Manager + then follow the same steps

Steps to unzip extract download on Android Phone/Tablet using file manager and open with Google Spreadsheets:

1. Choose the File Manager + App

2. Select the folder to download file to on device (recommend Downloads)

3. Click 'Save'

4. File will download with the survey name  etc as shown as above

5. Click the zip file and click  'Extract All',  then choose the Download folder
